Determine The Correct Thickness
If you are unsure what cushion thickness to select, you can easily determine the optimal cushion thickness for your round chair or bench frame by stacking a book or two on the seat to get a rough idea of how thick your cushion should be. If your furniture frame has arm rests, make sure that the cushion is not too thick as this could result in the arms being too low for the person sitting on the chair or bench.

Do Not Measure Old Cushions
Do not measure an existing or old cushions to order a new custom cushion. Instead, measure the area of the furniture that you would like to be covered by the new cushion. Using measurements obtained from old cushions may result in new cushions that do not fit properly as cushions often change in size as the fabric becomes worn and stretches from use.

Use The Right Tools
Avoid using 'soft' measuring tools such as tailor's tape. Instead, we recommend using a rigid measuring tool such as a carpenter's tape measure or a measuring stick for the most accurate results.

Round Your Measurements
Your width and depth measurements should be rounded up or rounded down to the nearest ½ inch as most dimensions on our site can be adjusted in ½ inch increments.
